“Integral globalization offers the opportunity for a lustrous and sustainable future!”
The way we have dealt with this earth’s wealth and climate change in recent decades has led to global attention to sustainability. Among other things, this led to the creation of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Pandemics, wars, terrorism and populism, as well as increasing polarization, crime, dehumanization and geopolitical tensions, call for much greater attention to and realization of peace and security and Human and Children’s Rights.
In 1992 Bert-Jan van der Mieden founded his agency Pyramide with the goal of enabling individuals, teams and organizations to flourish through direction. In his book “Man in the 21st Century” (2004), he paid attention to globalization issues, among others. He then founded the Globalization Center Foundation in 2005. Improving the world begins with ourselves! Hence the Globalization Center Foundation’s logo with I Connect. Most of the net proceeds from Pyramide’s services and products go to the Globalization Center Foundation.
“Everyone is of inner nobility and nobility obligated.”
Realizing globalization is complex and involves both advantages and disadvantages. There are understandable and justified criticisms of how globalization has been and is being handled. After all, not everyone reaps its benefits, it can have a negative impact on the environment and countries can become more vulnerable to global economic fluctuations. However, these disadvantages can be prevented and eliminated through the Pyramid approach and the realization of the goals of the Globalization Center Foundation. As a result, globalization is achieved with integrity and prosperity and well-being is attainable for all.

The Globalization Center Foundation was founded June 21, 2005, by Bert-Jan van der Mieden, from his agency Pyramid. The mission of the Globalization Center Foundation is to realize globalization centers worldwide. Based on the idea “Think global, act local,” the Foundation makes the case for the integral realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (the SDG ‘s) and Human and Children’s Rights (the EPR). And on this basis, to realize local, regional and (inter)national welfare and prosperity for everyone. We do this through multidisciplinary cooperation between all social disciplines: business, art and culture, civil society organizations, government, individuals, politics, religion and science.
The world’s first Globalization Center was established in the Netherlands on March 20, 2025 and opened December 12, 2025 at the Kontakt der Kontinenten Conference Hotel in Soesterberg.
It is our individual and collective duty, out of respect for previous generations and for our own and future generations, to realize Human and Children’s Rights and the Sustainable Development Goals, to act in a socially responsible manner and to achieve a sustainable society. Leading to prosperity and well-being for all. To this end, the Globalization Center Foundation wants to arrive at perspective future scenarios, projects and actions. We can only realize this through Perspective Leadership based on personal leadership. We do this on the basis of the eight Ps: Peace, People, Perspective, Planet, Power, Priority, Profit and Proud.
